Talisman Sabre is a biennial exercise that brings nearly 30,000 US and Australian military personnel together to improve joint operations.

In July 8, 2015 at Rockhampton, Australia. More than 400 Army paratroopers, from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, parachuted from seven C-17 Globemasters onto Kapyong Air Field, Australia, as part of Exercise Talisman Sabre 15, July 8.

Talisman Sabre 15 is a biennial, which offers an invaluable opportunity for the nearly 30,000 US and Australian personnel to conduct operations in a combined and joint operation between the two countries will increase the capacity to plan and implement a variety of combat missions for humanitarian relief operations.

"The first and main reason we are here today not only to deepen the already strong relationship between the US Army and the Australian army, but the Defence Force, the US Army and Australia, the United States and Australia," said Brig. Mick Ryan, commander of the 1st Brigade Australia.

Exercise is great as men and women train services to increase interoperability and use remotely skills, high tempo and a brief mission worldwide.

It builds the basis for planning, communication, and dissemination throughout the world, said Ryan.

"These basic skills can be adapted to all levels of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to high-end operations and deployment might want our government to be involved," he said.

The US military routinely deploy in a joint operational environment, both in conflict and in peace missions. Ability to work effectively with other countries and other services can facilitate the achievement of the main objective.

"With the current operation situation in the world, can do exercises like this, in the joint operating environment, gives us an opportunity to showcase capabilities in the Pacific region," said the captain. Zachary Miller, commander of the 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division.

Talisman Sabre 15 preparations have been made for several months and the fall of the Strategic Air is one of the biggest events in the middle of Queensland for this year. Simultaneous activity occurs in northern Australia.

Commander of US Army Pacific Brig years. General Alvin Brian said, it is always interesting to watch the culmination of several months of training and coordination between Australia and the United States.

"The beautiful thing about this jump is that Australia stole two of their aircraft to Alaska, joined five US aircraft and after a 17 hour flight back, they have allowed US forces [to] parachute at airfields in Australia," he said.

US and Australian military has a long history of collaboration and cooperation. The partnership was forged on trust and mutual respect.

"The relationship that the United States and Australia have are beautiful and growing things," said Alvin. "I just spoke with the head of the Australian military and we believe our partnership only became stronger as time goes on."

"We like the side-by-side to work with the US military, as we have done in the First World War," said Ryan. "It is a relationship that we, the Australian army, and he really appreciated part of the feed for this relationship we are looking forward to this event."
