Completely new weapons systems that are difficult to find. AR platform is the backbone and the core of every firearm dominant American innovation, and while it is a great platform, it can not move beyond the RA may indicate a lack of new ideas. Or perhaps it is a sign that the AR platform is one of the few that is optimal to continue to develop variants. Direction of the flow of weapons development can be determined primarily by tight budgets, which provided for the financing of operator training and a complete replacement of weapons and parts. So the familiarity and compatibility of parts / operator similarity characterize a very important and necessary for any platform. However you see it, it is clear that the AR based weapon systems will be around indefinitely; Future innovations may include revision and improvement as opposed to the idea and design completely original.
There is room for much improvement here, however, and Sig Sauer seems to have taken advantage of this opportunity by releasing MCX, a new weapon system that utilizes the company has perfected the technology for several years.
MCX has been designed from the outset as a complete, modular weapon chambered for and exploiting the benefits Blackout cartridge 300 to enter as foresight, deleted shoot. Sig Sauer claims that no other weapons were designed that way from the beginning. The company's engineers also focused on weight and modularity of the platform. Sources in the Sig revealed that some clients with particular strength asking weapon system to replace their current weapon. He must be calm as MP5SD HK removed and when booths in 300 BLK as a starting point.

Piston Driven
Perhaps one of the most interesting characteristic of RA is the direct impact of the standards system. MCX is based on gas piston operating system runs short Sig. Piston system is not like that currently on the market. It actually uses a dual rod system / operation only return spring. And it is self-regulation. The position of the piston is able to adapt in the functioning of the system pressure. This operator can draw a design removed and non-removal, mixing ammunition subsonic and supersonic without penalty. Difficult to get the gas system to operate reliably in all the different scenarios, but this ability lies in MCX.
MCX offers many features similar to the AR, but with some interesting differences. Bolts have the same anatomy AR-15 bolt opposite the pinhole cam. Bolts of MCX also the overall length the same as the AR-15, but the lack of MCX gas ring, so that the width of the bolt body continuously rearwardly a little more then immediately retreated to form the tail. Locked and closed completely during the rotation, and the second bolt and carrier are coated with nickel boron. Carrier reduced to 3.5 inches and weighs 5.2 ounces and a diameter equal to his brothers AR. The control rod is fixed to the upper bracket through a notch cut in the support, and the overall recycled by two springs back mounted on a guide rod that is secured by control rods.
Do what AR piston always meant to be? Yes, there are many parts, but the system is very simple once you see, and you will have a good understanding of how Sig rethought the design and function of MCX.
MCX has upper and lower receiver RAS familiar as we know, but some objections were added here. Recipients above cured in some areas and parts replaced Sig developed for this area the most. The section is a cam-way metal insert on the side of the receiver. Other replaceable parts including inserts from the fuel rail ambidextrous charging handle and bolt. These elements all steel inserts or pins. Attackers should help aluminum housing that can be replaced when it wears out. These features indicate that the MCX are intended for long-term use in harsh conditions. Basically, you do not have to remove the top receiver after intensive use, just replace the parts. Control of the lower receiver does not require recycling because they are the same as the CA, while news magazines, screw press ambidextrous safety switch. Abandonment trigger in the Aftermarket will be at home, too.

Redefining Modularity
"Flexibility" is a term that is thrown around often, and MCX probably one of the most authentic examples of this term. Top receiver is a monolithic design with a long, continuous rail. This top is also designed to accept different length handguards. Currently, Sig offers short and long models. This protective KeyMod hand designed with different internal diameters so that they can fit on silencers if desired, or you can choose to guard smaller diameter. They are also available in carbon fiber. Hand guard acts more like a continuation of the one-piece rails 13 inches high, giving you more than 17 inches high rail to work with. Of course, these handguards KeyMod to receive a myriad of accessories available from Sig as foregrips vertical and sling adapter plate.

Operators can quickly exchange a barrel by unscrewing two screws on the top of the receiver. Both 9- and 16-inch barrel is available, and you can quickly change the 300 BLK 5.56 mm NATO with the barrel / rod swap operation. 300 BLK barrel has a touch level one-by-6 inch, while the barrel 5.56mm NATO has a level of touch 1-en-7 inches. A 1-by-9.5-inch touch 7.62x39mm barrels are also available, but it also requires a change in the magazine. Tong civilian models receive nitride layer regardless of the length or size of them. Military / LE barrel can be doubled or chromium nitride according to customer requirements.
The receiver accepts low-STANAG magazines patterns, but can also be configured as the rest of the gun. There is no protection tube as RA. Instead, the attachment point is located at the back of the receiver. This attachment point allows different stocks to be installed. You can choose from a side-folding, skeleton SAS shares; tubular side-folding stock; or telescoping stock. If you want to go on the road Gun, Sig also offers its stabilization SBX Brace as an option.
In addition, it should be noted that the MCX above is compatible with all standard mil-spec AR-15 lower, and Sig offered kits to convert low as to accept different stocks by eliminating the buffer tube. Thus, LE agencies, for example, can more easily update their current inventory with MCX.
Silent Strikers of Sig Sauers
Sig Sauer has been relentless in developing its own line of "Silence". As mentioned earlier, MCX is designed around the use of suppressors such as complete weapons systems and is specifically optimized to work with Sig box.

The Silent DTH Sig technologically advanced and offer excellent noise reduction, durability and lightweight. With the Taper-Lok Quick Fix their mouth, you can choose to SRD762-QD and all enclosed ranked MCX, as estimated for managing up to 0.300 Winchester Magnum cartridges. The SRD762-QDTi, titanium versions are also available. It is slightly bigger than a box SRD762-QD, but give more volume in muffler for noise reduction is greater. Due to construction in grade 5 titanium, lighter than Inconel 718 SRD762-QD 1.2 oz. You can also opt for a particular suppressing the 5.56 NATO as SRD556, SRD556 or SRD556-QD-QDTi if you are sure that you will use the 5.56 mm NATO ammunition through your MCX.
While MCX ideally paired with Sig silencers, the company tells me that MCX will work well with the brand of your choice suppressor because it is compatible with traditionally designed 1/2 or 5/8 × 28 × 24 threaded muzzle device.
Full-Auto Blackout
I managed to shoot two versions of select-fire MCX while Sig Sauer Academy in Epping, New Hampshire: 16 inch barrel shotgun and a 9-inch barrel SBR. For testing, I used my Elite Performance 220 items, 300 BLK Sig subsonic ammunition. I ran this support both suppressed and unsuppressed without problems.
MCX has a slight pulse back and easy to do a quick follow-up shots. I was very impressed with the MCX are controlled way during the shooting in full-automatic. It is certainly not the gun spray and pray. Instead, it feels like you can just round the guide exactly where you want to hit. Of course, this may differ from supersonic ammunition. I plugged SRD762 QDTi MCX-suppressant, and it became very quiet. By remaining silent, the strongest part is the round hit the safety net.
I can not formally test the accuracy of MCX, but my test is less accurate rifle against a hand, and I could see the gunman to get the sub-MOA. In fact, I have personally witnessed the shooting SBR group MCX sub-MOA at 100 yards. Actual accuracy requirements for the development of MCX is 2 MOA at 100 yards with subsonic ammunition. MCX prototype meets the requirements of the 6.75-inch barrel.
It is clear that the Sig Sauer quickly become a complete supplier of weapons systems, firearms ammunition, suppressor, sights and other accessories. This may not be a new concept, however beneficial for you to have a company such as Sig Sauer reserve your new platform in the long term.
MCX build from the ground up as a platform for specialized lending pressure to 300 BLK is promising, and it shows that 300 BLK just move forward. The fact that guns can be quickly incorporated into NATO or 7.62x39mm 5.56, or SBR with a side-folding stock, for example, is just icing on the cake.
I realize that MCX has been used in the theater, and the statements of operations have been positive.
